Who is Keyba Careers?

Keyba Careers is a new company with the vision to help young people progress their job path and career development to the next level, so they have the opportunity to develop into great leaders for the industry of their choice. This company was established in 2017 and has been formed by Key Business Advisors.

Keyba Careers has developed a training program to assist young job seekers. This training program is an online course called the “Employer Engagement Program” which provides street-smart information to improve skills to enter the workforce and be job ready.

How is this program any different to other courses?

We are confident that there are no other programs like this one. Key Business Advisors has been in operation for 10 years, supporting many small and medium sized businesses from different industries across Australia to help them grow from good to great. Working with business owners, managers and staff on a daily basis, we understand the needs of businesses and what they want from their staff. Therefore, the tips and assistance provided in this program is industry relevant and what we have learnt over the years. We bring to you current industry knowledge, experience and training in a program to assist you to get that job you are seeking.

Once you have gained the skills, tips and valuable knowledge from our program, it is then up to you to find and gain employment. We are not a recruiter or employment agency. We can only assist you by providing the training and resources to become more employable. Our aim is to give you the skills and confidence and a competitive advantage over others through the information provided in our Employer Engagement Program. However, we have had huge success and feedback on our program from other job seekers like you.

Is the course accredited?

No, because we are not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), university or education department. You will not receive a formal qualification or accreditation when completing our program. Instead, you will learn and gain the practical skills to be job ready. You will gain skills not taught at school. The valuable tips and assistance provided in this program is industry relevant and what we have learnt over the years, now for your benefit.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, you will receive a Certificate of Completion which will give you a competitive edge which you can show your future employers. We are positive they would be very impressed with you taking the initiative to do a program like this. In fact, it would make a good topic of conversation on understanding the mindset of a business owner and the topics covered within the program.

In order to receive the certificate, you must complete the multiple-choice quiz and survey at the end of the program.

How much does it cost?

This program is priced at $99 (Inc GST) per person. From time to time we do offer special discounts.

Keyba Careers is a privately-owned business, the parent company being Key Business Advisors. Key Business Advisors is honoured to be strong partners and supporters of YouthNow, a not-for-profit organisation specialising in career and transition services for young people. Since 2014, Key Business Advisors have volunteered their time and services to YouthNow delivering this program in a face-to-face training environment. What is the success rate of Keyba Careers’ program?

Based on our last statistics, we have taken through 60 young people through the program, 45 out of the 60 individuals have then found a job of their choice. We are excited about launching this program online and reaching out to many more young people who is seeking employment, that we couldn’t possibly reach out in person.

What is the age group the program is designed for?

This program has been specifically designed for people aged between 17-29 years old seeking employment. However, in saying that, there is valuable information within the program even if you were outside this age bracket seeking employment. We believe that the crucial knowledge we offer is necessary to have for a person of any age, though our program is directed for ‘young people’ within the age bracket stated above.

You may be looking for part-time or full-time employment, an internship, a graduate position or apprenticeship. Whether you have finished secondary school, VCE or University, this program fits in well with the next step in your career path.

How long does the program last for? Do you buy it within a time frame?

Once you purchase the program, you then have 3 months access to complete the course. We are keen for you to complete the program within that time frame, so you are skilled up to find yourself a job. So, the quicker you complete the program and gain the skills you need, the quicker you are on your way to finding that amazing job with confidence. This was the thinking behind the 3-month time frame, as it will give you the push you may need to get started, in order to reach your goals.

Will I know how much I have left to finish my course?

You will be able to see from the course progress menu. As you complete a topic/lesson, the course progress bar will highlight how far you have progressed through the course.  The course navigation menu will provide an overview of the whole program highlighting where you are at within the course. 

You will receive email notification at specific milestones during your progress sent to your registered email address within your profile. 

What happens if I don’t complete the program within the 3-month time frame?

How many components of the program are there?

There are 7 Lessons to the program which includes a short video clip for each lesson and topics (within each lesson) loaded with a wealth of information.

Designed to give you maximum results, the program has been purposely developed to allow you to follow the lessons and topics in a logical sequence.   We strongly recommend that you listen and watch each video before you commence each lesson. Then you can continue to complete each topic in order, just like reading a book. As you complete a topic, click on the green “Mark Complete” button to continue to the next section. 

We recommend that you download the Activity Books for each Lesson, answer the questions and write down notes to reinforce your learning. This also becomes a resource that you can refer to in your future employment opportunities. We also offer additional resources such as handouts and questionnaires etc. We have extended our program to offer different ways to learn and sustain information for all types of learners.

Can the program be accessed internationally?

Yes, the program can be accessed internationally, if you are connected to wi-fi. We have enabled this for the benefit of young people, and to give everyone the same opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge to gain a job no matter where they are in the world.

Can I learn from any device?

What happens if I forget my log in details?

Can the skills I learn from the Keyba Careers program be applied to all jobs or only office types of jobs?

The knowledge and skills you will learn in this program are transferable. You will be able to use what is taught and recommended in this program for future opportunities of your career where opportunities are presented to you. I.e. Internal vacancies to grow within the company/ organisation you work for, to other opportunities you may apply for in the future.

Do we offer any face-to-face sessions?
